LOVING ABUSE 1: Who am I?

Greetings! First and foremost Glory be to God in the highest. He has been leading me to be a voice, a messenger if you will. I will be doing this in blog and/or video dairy form.  I seem to have so much to say these days and blogging seems to be the way to git er dun! 🙂 LOL! So, here we go……

My writings are not professional but will always come from my heart, which is governed by my Lord and Savior. I will cover many topics on my journey to health. Why is that you might ask? Well, because everything we do and think affects our health; mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Blessed be the Lord, my strength; which teacheth my hands to war and my fingers to fight. Psalm 144:1

Who am I? I was born in Sacramento, Ca. We moved to San Jose, Ca; Fort Worth, Tex; New Orleans, La and back to San Jose, Ca when my father was diagnosed with bone cancer at 39 years of age. Upon which he suffered and died just before his 42nd birthday. I have one sister that is 2 years and 10 days older than I. My mom was a stay at home housewife and my father a generational Wholesaler for Used Cars.

I am a survivor of long term sexual abuse by my father and emotional abuse by my mother. I became a born again believer in the summer of 72, thanks to my Aunt Ruby. That is also when I met my first true love; Mark K. A summer I will forever hold close to my heart.  I have additionally survived 5 suicide attempts, 2 rapes, a domestic violence marriage, alcoholism, sex addiction, evictions, single mom on welfare, 10+ surgeries, multiple rare medical conditions and most recently a Cancer scare. I have 2 gorgeous, brilliant, super faithful, loyal, strong, grown daughters who are also moms and best friends. They have blessed me with 5 beautiful grandchildren ranging in age at this time from 1 yrs old to 19 yrs old. I will be a Great Grandma sometime in Aug 2015. God has extremely blessed me.

So, obviously God wanted me to survive as he never allowed my needing to end the emotional pain to succeed with my suicide attempts. The more I have survived, the more I realize he has big plans for me and/or I am to use my mess as a message. Who better to bring his “words of wisdom” from the front lines than a Armed Angel who came out the womb having to fight to survive?

So, to date I have been a stay at home mom,  divorced twice, on welfare, on unemployment, on Social Security as permanently disabled, a business owner of 2 businesses with brick and mortar. A Multi-Level_Marketer/ Entrepreneur in herbal products, cosmetics, weight loss coffee, lingerie, and naughty items. Along side those jobs a Caregiver, specializing in Hospice Care for 30+ years. My two businesses were a In Home Care company that also specialized in Hospice Care called TLC (Home Care). Alongside of TLC was TLCCH; (TLC Care Home). A 4,500 sq ft, 8-bed Sober Living facility for men. Two years ago I became a NRA Firearm Instructor to help educate and empower women.  In the process myself and 2 other friends joined forces and we became Armed Angels. Basically I am type A personality. So, I have been around the block a time or two and know a little bit about a lot. Mostly, I speak from my own personal experiences to validate, motivate and inspire others.

Currently, my life is very different and has evolved to be completely different within the last 3 years, which is what has prompted this blog site. I have had to go back on to Social Security due to recurring and new health issues. Which is allowing me the time to write, I never had before. I have not been able to do much with my Firearm Instructing until I get healthier and stronger.  I am clearing up a mess with my mobile home I own free and clear but almost evicted from for lack of income during this transition. God ALWAYS provides. It may not be in our timing, but his timing is ALWAYS perfect.

So, in a nutshell world, this is me. I am a proud Grandma, loyal, devoted, type A personality (at heart), country girl at heart but born and raised in big cities. I am a tad OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). I love my family time, my alone time, my time with God; which seems to be in the middle of the night with me. I think he is a Night Owl at heart :-). I love country and gospel music, long road trips,

I pray my blog will glorify God, educate others, bring a message of inspiration to you so you may rest in the arms of our Creator and Maker that he is ultimately in control. Our worlds’ and lives may seem chaotic, make no sense, we make the same mistakes over and over and the gloom and doom seems endless. We strive to be a better person, Patriot, Father, Mother, Sister, Son, Daughter, Friend, Believer, Grandparent, Great Grandparent every day and we always seem to fall short of the glory of God. KNOW that no matter where you are right now in your life, God has you there for a reason. Our lives have purpose and that purpose will matter in the legacy you leave behind. It matters on your death bed and journey to the other side. It matters mostly in the eyes of God. Life is full of lessons if we would just stop and embrace them. Mostly, we fight them. No, Lord, not that or this. I can’t, I don’t want too, whyyyyyy???? Even the awful ones. I know that the strongest testimonies are the ones from those that have fallen and not stayed down. They got back up, dusted their selves off, re-evaluated and shared their story with others. That is what I am doing!
